On the heels of her debut album, singer-songwriter Jessie Reyez has dropped the visual for the fan-favorite track “Same Side.”
In the video, directed by Peter Huang, Reyez is a contract killer hired for the murder of her lover. However, things take a turn when she can’t bring herself to finish the job.
The dark video shows Reyez in a vulnerable state. Unable to carry out the murder, she shows forgiveness before her lover turns the gun on her.
“You’re such an asshole, but I see a prince / And I’m a good girl, but you see a bitch / I wanna make love, you wanna burn a bridge / So I wish I was a bad guy / So we could just be fighting on the same side,” Reyez croons on the track.

“Same Side” is lifted from Reyez’s debut album, Before Love Came To Kill Us.
In other news, Reyez appears on Dvsn’s latest album A Muse In Her Feelings on the fourth track “Courtside.”
