Cheers to Mary J. Blige. The living legend has partnered with Fantinel Winery to launch a premium collection of wine called Sun Goddess.

Named after a childhood nickname, the line of wine consists of two glass raising choices, including Sauvignon Blanc and Pinot Grigio Ramato.

In a statement regarding the toast-worthy announcement, Blige shared what inspired her to venture into the wine business.

“I have always been particularly fond of white wines that demonstrate freshness, minerality, and purity,” Blige said. “Pinot Grigio is undoubtedly among my favorite varieties. One day, I asked a friend of mine what is the best Pinot Grigio in the world and he quickly responded that the best Pinot Grigio came from Friuli Venezia Giulia. In deepening my knowledge of this little Italian region I was introduced to Marco Fantinel, owner of one of the leading wineries of this area.”

She continued, “Pictures alone helped me fall in love with the Fantinel estate so I decided to go visit it personally. After walking through the vineyards and tasting with the Fantinel family, I felt extremely connected to the place, and more importantly, the people. The experience inspired me to create my own wines in partnership with Marco Fantinel.”

Sun Goddess is available in New York and New Jersey liquor stores, as well as online on wine.com for those select states. The wines will be available worldwide in August.

In addition to her new wine deal, Blige was recently seen playing R&B/soul forerunner Dinah Washington in the trailer for the Aretha Franklin biopic Respect.

She stars in the new horror-thriller, Body Cam, which is available on digital platforms. She released the closing credits score “Can’t Be Life,” which is produced by longtime collaborator Chucky Thompson.

The history-making Oscar nominee is also set to star in the Power spin-off, as well as executive producing a drug Queenpin drama for USA Network. A documentary, handled by Amazon Studios and Entertainment, about her life is also in the works.

That’s not all; Blige hinted on Instagram that new music is coming soon.
