Brian McKnight’s final album Exodus has produced its first top 10 R&B single.
The earnest track “Nobody” storms to the top 10 region on urban adult contemporary radio this week. It’s totaling more than four million in audience impressions.
The success of the single isn’t surprising. It was the most-added song on the airplay format upon its release in March.
On the Billboard Adult R&B Airplay front “Nobody” peaked at No. 13 in the week ending July 18. If the growth in spins and airplay continues on urban AC radio, it could give McKnight his 18th top 10 entry on this respective chart.
“Nobody” is one of several songs released ahead of McKnight’s latest LP Exodus. He debuted other tracks like the intoxicating “‘42 (Grown Up Tipsy),” the soothing “Neva Get Enuf of U,” and the tender “When I’m Gone.”
Exodus is Mcknight’s “final project release of all original material.”
