Usher has more confessions to share. The R&B legend has dropped off his new single titled “Bad Habits,” which was co-produced by Pierre Medor and Lxrd Rossi.
On the four-minute track, Usher admits to his flaws when it comes to being in a relationship. Although he has every intention of doing what’s right, he ends up succumbing to temptation.
“I love love, I’m just bad at it / I just can’t escape all of these bad habits / I had way too many one nights, yeah / I keep messin’ up my love life, yeah,” Usher sings on the chorus. He later sings, “You take me back and then I lie to you again / I slipped into the DM of your best friend.”
Usher also released an accompanying video for “Bad Habits,” which was directed by Chris Robinson, who also directed Usher’s videos for “Confessions Part II” and “My Boo.”
“Bad Habits” is the latest single from Usher’s upcoming ninth studio album that is set to arrive later this year on Brand Usher, LLC/RCA Records. It follows Usher’s previously shared songs “SexBeat” featuring Lil Jon and Ludacris, “I Cry” and “Don’t Waste My Time” featuring Ella Mai.
In July 2021, Usher will kick off his headlining residency at The Colosseum at Caesars Palace in Las Vegas. Tickets are on sale now.
