Bryson Tiller’s new album Anniversary has earned the title as the number one R&B album in the country this week. The follow-up to 2017’s True to Self pushed 57,000 equivalent album units in its first week sales. In doing so, it marked the inventive crooner’s second album to open at the summit on the Billboard Top R&B albums chart, with his sophomore release being his first.
The new album also debuted at No. 5 on the Billboard 200. This feat makes his third consecutive top 10 on the popular albums chart, as well as his second album overall to start inside the top five.
With his new album already doing impressive numbers, Tiller sets his sights on radio support for greater success and goes with “Outta Time” featuring Drake as the next single. The fluid-R&B track, which is about a toxic relationship that has run out of sand in its hourglass, will be serviced to urban radio on October 23, while it will impact rhythmic radio on October 27.
Already on Spotify, “Outta Time” has been streamed more than 11.3 million times. That makes it the most played song on the new 10-track album.
Outside of Drake, Tiller’s new album features no other guest appearances. It includes the pre-album tracks, including the relatable “Always Forever” and the sensual jam “Inhale.”
