Eric Bellinger hopes that more new music will help extend his music presidency for another term. The gold-selling artist has shared a new track called “Isolation” from his upcoming album Eric B. For President: Term 3. It also arrives with the accompanying visual. Watch the video above.
In the secluded lyrics, Bellinger sings tenderly about having trouble keeping his distance from his irresistible lover. He promises to make her stay in his presidential suite a time to remember.
Speaking on the “Isolation,” which he deemed the “most anticipated song on the album,” Bellinger wrote on Instagram, “I actually created this song while on Instagram Live with my fans so they were apart of the entire process from choosing the beat to loading it in Pro Tools and so on.”
Bellinger added that he called on rising artist Sha Sha Jones to complete the lyrics for the second verse, before producer Bizness Boi sealed the deal.
“Isolation” is the fifth record to be released in anticipation of Bellinger’s new album, which is due out October 30. It follows the unfulfilled “One Thing Missing,” the bass-heavy “Flotus,” the cuffing season anthem “Solo’n” and the divinely trippy “Godly.”
