Fresh from three surprising 2021 Grammy nominations, skilled DJ and producer Kaytranada releases the music video for his Lucky Daye-featured track “Look Easy.”
Xavier Tera is in the director’s chair for this short film inspired by Japanese gangster movies. The video is a mix of nightlife, gun violence, and a wild storyline with plenty of twists and turns. Daye and Kaytranada make minimal appearances in the live-action picture.
As previously mentioned, Kaytranada is up for three awards at the 63rd annual Grammy Awards. He is vying for recognition for Best New Artist, Best Dance Recording (“10%”) and Best Dance/Electronic Album (Bubba).
In October, Kaytranada debuted an eerie music video for “The Worst In Me” featuring Tinashe.
Daye, who was a first time nominee at the 2020 award ceremony, has been busy putting out collaboration after collaboration. He recently teamed up with Leon Bridges for the bold R&B track “All About You.” Prior to that, he joined forces with SG Lewis for his latest dancefloor banger “Feed the Fire.”
In addition, Daye has been seen working in the studio with Keyshia Cole for her next album.
