Sonder, the music collective composed of singer Brent Faiyaz and producers Dpat and Atu, has teamed up with British singer Jorja Smith for a new track titled “Nobody But You.”
Over guitar licks, Faiyaz and Smith exchange lines as they try to repair a relationship that is on the rocks. “I wish I had the time to run to you, not ruin your lifе / I’d never wrong you twice, I wanna make things right,” Faiyaz sings. Smith responds with, “Don’t want to fight anymore / Daytimes are silent as hell.”
“Nobody But You” is Sonder’s first song since 2019’s “What You Heard.” While the trio remained quiet over the last couple of years, Faiyaz, on the other hand, has been the complete opposite.
This year, he released three singles (“Show U Off,” “Eden” and “Gravity” featuring Tyler, the Creator). He also shared a mini project via Dropbox called Do Not Listen. In 2020, he dropped his F**ck the World project, as well as a one-off track titled “Dead Man Walking.”
As for Smith, in March she shared a new song called “Addicted.” In 2020, she dropped a few tracks, including “Come Over” featuring Popcaan, “By Any Means” and “Rose Rouge” and “Kiss Me In The Morning.”
