T-Pain has teamed up with Kehlani for his latest track titled “I Like Dat.”
The catchy tune samples T-Pain’s number one single “Buy U A Drank (Shawty Snappin’),” which he produced in 2006.
“Ooh, ooh-ooh, she don’t want no drink, she want the rent paid / Ooh, ooh-ooh, she don’t pay for nothin’, she just get paid,” T-Pain sings on the hook.
Kehlani sings in the second verse, “Not the type to get the / Dom but I’ma get the Ace / After one we never seen anybody face / When they bring the checks, like it’s on my name / I might have to face all down.”
T-Pain first teased “I Like Dat” on Monday night via Instagram Live.
“I Like Dat” is T-Pain’s first single of 2021. Last year, he dropped a few tracks including “Nook Bells,” “Get Up” and “Wake Up Dead” featuring Chris Brown.
As for Kehlani, she appeared on Pink Sweat$’ “At My Worst (Remix)” earlier this year. In spring 2020, she returned with her sophomore album, It Was Good Until It Wasn’t.
