Givēon reunites with Drake on the rapper’s new album, Certified Lover Boy. The track, “In The Bible,” was produced by Noah “40” Shebib, Leon Thomas, AP, and Eli Brown, and it also features Lil Durk.
Following Drake and Durk’s fire verses, the crooner wraps the song. He tells his love interest not to give him too much credit, singing, “I’m not what you think / Don’t be proud of me / I’m not what you feel / And you’re gon see it real soon.”
Givēon previously collaborated with Drizzy on “Chicago Freestyle,” which has been streamed on Spotify more than 327 million times.
The Long Beach, California native has had a year of great success. In July, he landed his first hit song on urban radio with “Heartbreak Anniversary.” He received the Best New Artist award at the 2021 BET Awards.
His repackaged project When It’s All Said and Done… Take Time went gold, and he also claimed his first Billboard Hot 100 topper for Justin Bieber’s “Peaches” with Daniel Caesar.
At year-end, Givēon’s Take Time EP was among Rated R&B’s best R&B albums of 2020.
