Some things take time, and others things just don’t. Givēon knows a thing or two about accolades coming in at a rapid pace as his current project When It’s All Said and Done… Take Time has reached gold status.
The March 2021 release was a merge of his Grammy-nominated Take Time EP and his October 2020 EP When It’s All Said and Done.
The former project was named one of the best R&B albums of last year by Rated R&B. Take Time included the platinum songs “Like I Want You” and “Heartbreak Anniversary.”
The first-mentioned track, Givēon’s first top 10 single on the Billboard Adult R&B Songs chart, was co-produced by Los Hendrix. We spoke to the Philly-born musician about his contribution to the project in March ahead of the 2021 Grammys.
When It’s All Said and Done featured the somber, piano-based track “Stuck on You,” which has more than 54 million streams on Spotify.
Givēon’s recent guest appearance on Justin Bieber’s “Peaches” earned him a number-one hit on the Billboard Hot 100. It was his first leader on the popular singles chart. The song also featured Daniel Caesar.
