Givēon’s single “Heartbreak Anniversary” has proved to be a winner on urban radio, giving the freshman R&B act his first number-one single on this format. The current tally of audience impressions is over 19 million, a seven million spike since the platinum-seller first dropped in the top 10 last month.
“Heartbreak Anniversary” marks the second song by a solo R&B act to reach the peak position on urban radio this year. H.E.R.’s “Damage” was the first back in March.
On Spotify, “Heartbreak,” produced by Sevn Thomas and Maneesh, surpasses more than 402 million plays. As for the official video, it’s been watched over 96 million times, while the flagship audio on YouTube is at 168 million listens and growing.
In May, Givēon’s most recent project, When It’s All Said and Done…Take Time earned gold status. The first half of this project titled Take Time was named one of Rated R&B’s best R&B albums of 2020.
Givēon led the Billboard Hot 100 this spring for his “Peaches” collaboration with Justin Bieber and Daniel Caesar.
