With each new video, H.E.R. invites us to know more about who she is as an artist and a young woman. The closely followed visual for her song “For Anyone,” from her debut album Back of My Mind, captures a tender side of the once elusive artist, following her around a spacious vocal booth.
Bearing burnt orange apparel and unframed in her signature specs, she lounges in comfy spaces, brooding, eventually choked up and teary-eyed, about an ex who has made it difficult for her to explore other love options.
Recently, H.E.R.’s Lil Durk-assisted remix of “Find A Way” featuring Lil Baby was serviced to urban radio as the next airplay single. It rounded out 36 new adds on urban stations in its first wave.
The early spins on the format above are incredible considering she’s a magnet on R&B radio, currently charting in the top ten with “Come Through,” a Chris Brown-guested collaboration also a recent top ten entry on the Billboard R&B chart.
Next year, playing world tour dates with Coldplay will strengthen H.E.R.’s commercial presence as she finishes existing fall dates for her headlining tour in support of her debut album, which is certified gold.
