Mary J. Blige is performing at the 2022 NAACP Image Awards.
The living legend is expected to perform fresh material from her new album Good Morning Gorgeous. The LP’s title track, which is currently number one at R&B radio, is a possible choice for Blige.
Music aside, Blige is nominated for Outstanding Supporting Actress in a Drama Series for her role as Monet Tejada in Starz’s Power Book II: Ghost. She won this award last year.
Nominations were announced for the 53rd NAACP Image Awards last month. H.E.R. led the charge in the music field, gaining six nominations. Jazmine Sullivan is close behind with four nods.
