Sean “Diddy” Combs will accept the Lifetime Achievement Award at the 2022 BET Awards on Sunday, June 26. To celebrate his boundless contributions to the music industry, BET has announced an all-star lineup to pay tribute to the cultural icon.
Mary J. Blige, who recently announced her headlining Good Morning Gorgeous Tour, is set to perform for who she affectionally calls “Big Brother Puff.”
Their work together spans multiple albums, most notably My Life and What’s the 411?
Jodeci, composed of K-Ci and JoJo Hailey, as well as DeVanté Swing and Mr. Dalvin, will take the stage to honor Combs. Any signature song from their first two albums, Forever My Lady and Diary Of A Mad Band, are on the table for this occasion.
Faith Evans, who Combs signed as the First Lady of Bad Boy, will perform at the show. Combs and Evans have worked on several classics, including their Grammy-winning smash “I’ll Be Missing You,” featuring 112.
Bryson Tiller is also on the lineup. On June 17, Combs released his new single with Tiller titled “Gotta Move On.” This week, it was the most added song across urban, R&B, and rhythmic formats. Since Combs is also performing, it’s a possibility the two will perform the new anthem.

“Diddy has always been a pioneering force in our community, breaking barriers, achieving unprecedented heights, blazing new trails, and, in so doing, raising the bar for all of us,” said BET’s CEO Scott Mills.
He added, “His virtuosity is matched only by his range – from music to media, culture, business, and philanthropy – Diddy has exemplified Black Excellence. We are delighted to have this opportunity to use our biggest stage to recognize the extraordinary accomplishments of our friend Diddy.”
