Savannah Ré has released a new EP. No Weapons is the first of a two-part project, and it follows her 2020 debut album Opia.
Her new EP features the lead single “Last One,” a guitar-laden duet with Front + Center artist Dylan Sinclair. It marked her first time collaborating with another artist on a song.
In a subsequent interview with Rated R&B, Sinclair expressed how it felt to work with Ré, a fellow Canadian act. “It’s special. Savannah’s very talented. She wants to grow and push music to another level. I respect [and] appreciate that” shared Sinclair.
Ré issued “About U” as the second single from No Weapons. She accompanied the mellow tune, co-produced by Jack Rochon and YogiTheProducer, with a music video directed by Alex P. Smith. Then, before the EP premiered, Ré put out the island-tinged “Closure,” which pays respect to her Jamaican heritage.

“I wear my tattoos and use my emotions in the same way, as reminders… No weapons is something that’s been ingrained in me since I was a child by my mom. First half of this project is the beginning of what that means to me,” Ré wrote on Instagram.
Along with releasing the new EP, Ré debuts a music video for “WTF.”
To support No Weapons, on Oct. 14, Ré will take the Phoenix Concert Theatre stage in her hometown of Toronto, Canada. Tickets are available here.
“Y’all 😭… This has been such a long time coming I am finallyyy having my debut headlining HOMETOWN show October 14th, @thephoenixtoronto. Childhood Sav is screaming right now🥹,” she wrote on Instagram.
No Weapons aside, Ré shared “Fiji” in March. It’s not a part of the new work, though.
