Ye Ali has released a new song, “Fyd,” which features emerging singer and frequent collaborator Jahkoy. Ali co-produced the booming, pleasure-seeking track alongside Mando Fresh and Joe Hodges.
On “Fyd,” which stands for Freak You Down, Ali and Jahkoy sing across a bouncy club beat about getting down to business with their special woman.
“Fyd” is Ali’s first new song in a year. It arrives the same day as his “90s Baby” collaboration with RyFy.
His new song follows the dual video release of “Permission” and “What It Is.” Both songs appeared on his Dangerous (Deluxe), a reissue of his 2021 LP. Executive produced by the legendary Troy Taylor, the new version included five new songs, two of which featured DCMBR.
Ali is gearing up for a new album, which he is believed to have started writing and recording in early August. He hosted a writing camp in Los Angeles, California, around that time.

Solo music aside, Ali continues to work behind the boards. He is featured in the liner notes of Chris Brown’s new album Breezy as a producer and co-writer on the song “Pitch Black.”
When Ali isn’t penning and producing songs for other artists, he’s collaborating with them. He joined Ohana Bam (“S.E.X.”) and Maurice Moore and Jermaine Elliott (“22”) for their respective summer releases.
As for Jahkoy, he dropped the new song “Roll Wit It” earlier this month. It followed his 2021 album Tangible, which featured the focus track “Exes & Summer Flings.” Ali appeared on the song “Touch It Get Wild.”
