Masego ends the year with a brand new single, “You Never Visit Me,” co-produced by Wu10, Louie Lastic and Todd Pritchard.
In the song, Masego finds himself in a comfortless state. In a spacious interior occupied by his lonesome, the Grammy-nominated artist sings with a pained vocal as he tries to fill the void in his heart and house.
“You were there when I told You the plan, you were sold / Then we made it a goal to remain ’til we old / Took the L then I vate, elevate my mistakes / And I copped real estate / Just to house all the crazy,” Masego sings over a mellow production.
“You Never Visit Me” is the second song Masego released this year, following “Say You Want Me.” Ambré and Destin Conrad were some of the contributing backing vocalists on the latter track.

“You Never Visit Me” and “Say You Want Me” are slated to appear on Masego’s upcoming untitled album.
Masego’s last proper album, Lady Lady, was released in 2018. The star-studded work, one of Rated R&B’s Best R&B Albums of 2018, featured SiR (“Old Age“), Tiffany Gouché (“Queen Tings”) and FKJ (“Tadow“).
Masego’s alliance with FKJ resulted in a platinum certification from the Recording Industry Association of America in the spring of 2021.
Masego responded to the success of Lady Lady with an EP titled Studying Abroad. Released in November 2020, the globe-trotting release included the D’Mile-produced “Passport” and the gold-selling “Mystery Lady” featuring Don Toliver.
The following spring, Masego reissued his 2020 EP with a deluxe version. Studying Abroad: Extended Stay boasted five additional songs, one of which featured TeaMarrr called “Smith & Westin.”
Studying Abroad: Extended Stay was nominated for Best Progressive R&B Album at the 2022 Grammy Awards.
