Kevin Ross’ new single “Look My Way” will have a few folks singing outside their admirers’ windows this Valentine’s Day.
Upon first listen, it’s evident that Ross is an old-fashioned romantic at heart. He goes back to the days when you had to impress an interest with more than a few nice words and flowers.
On “Look My Way,” his mission is for this unnamed lady to lock eyes with him on her own accord, hoping that it seals the deal that he’s what she needs in her life, now and forever.
“Look My Way” is the lead single from Ross’ upcoming project, Midnight Microdose.
Ross’ last project, 2021’s Drive 2, spawned two top 10 hits on Billboard and radio, “Looking For Love” and “Sweet Release.”
“Everybody has a guilty pleasure or something to take them away from the daily monotony,” Ross said of the latter track. “It’s more so about escapism than it’s meant to be sexual or sensual. For me, the main key is the escape.”
“If you’re riding in the car, you can play the song. It could be just feel liberating like a cool breeze. This song is transformative in a sense. Wherever you are, it can be your soundtrack.”
Ross released an official video for “Sweet Release” following its Billboard success last fall.
On Drive 2, the follow-up to his 2020 project, Audacity Complete, Ross recruited Rotimi and Afro B as special guests.

Next month, Ross joins India.Arie’s Soul Bird Experience at Center Stage Theater in Atlanta, Georgia. The event, which will also have an appearance from Gene Moore, will take place on Feb. 10. Tickets are available now.
On a personal note, in December 2022, Ross announced he became a father, welcoming a son, KJ.
