Masego is back. The Grammy-nominated artist has released his sophomore album, Masego, via EQT Recordings/Capitol Records.

The featureless album consists of 14 tracks, including the previously shared “You Never Visit Me,” “Two Sides (I’m So Gemini)” and “Say You Want Me.” The latter song features backing vocals from Ambré, Destin Conrad and Ari PenSmith.

Regarding his new album, Masego Says: “I’m very thankful of the journey. This went from a hobby to a job. I was getting all the things that they say that you’re supposed to be fulfilled by and I wasn’t fulfilled by it. I had to do a re-evaluation of a lot of things. I said, ‘I can’t make this what I imagined it to be. So I cannot remain here. I need to move.’”

Masego is the follow-up to his 2018 debut album, Lady Lady. In 2020, Masego returned with his Studying Abroad. The project included features from Don Toliver (“Mystery Lady“) and Shenseea (“Silver Tongue Devil“).

The following year, he released Studying Abroad: Extended Stay, an expanded version of the 2020 EP. It included additional appearances from Sheléa and TeaMarr.

Extended Stay scored Masego a nomination for Best Progressive R&B Album at the 64th Grammy Awards.

Masego will support his self-titled album on his headlining You Never Visit Me Tour. The nearly sold-out tour kicks off March 12 in Las Vegas, Nevada, at Brooklyn Bowl.

From there, Masego will play in major cities such as Denver, Chicago, Toronto, New York City, Baltimore, Atlanta and Miami. The tour wraps on April 27 in Los Angeles, California, at The Wiltern.
