Emerging R&B singer and songwriter Grace Weber has released her sophomore album, Paperflower.

The 11-track offering includes the previously shared songs “Lonely,” “Intimate” and “Do4Me.”

“Paperflower is an album that represents my time living in Los Angeles the past four years and the love I’ve experienced with my husband, my friends, and the community of musicians I’ve gotten to work with here,” says Weber.

She adds, “There’s this lasting love I have in my life and the music I’ve created for this album, that has bloomed and grown over the past year and a half of working on it. I’m really excited about this project and the way it represents me as an artist and R&B singer-songwriter.”

Paperflower opens with “Fallin’,” a heartwarming tune inspired by her husband, whom she first met when they were both 13.

Weber sings over soulful instrumentation, helmed by Akeel Henry: “Time slowed down / I found a star on the ground / Just thirteen, I didn’t know what it’d mean / Don’t let go / Hearts levitate when you glow / And you don’t know why / All the things you do to me.”

Weber posted an Instagram Reel with a slideshow of photos that chronicle the lovebirds’ journey to marriage — from meeting at summer camp to officially dating in college to tying the knot.

On the flirty groove “XTC,” Weber seeks to understand a potential lover’s intentions. “I don’t really wanna waste your time / Baby we can mess around if you’re mine / So tell me if you got another on your mind / ‘Cause I could have another lover next in line,” she asserts.

“Permission,” featuring Secily and Jean Deaux, is a sultry bedroom jam produced by Baker Aaron. “With your permission, I could make you submit to me, this your position /  Permission / Don’t need to sign on the dotted line, you’re all mine / It’s green light,” Weber and Secily sing in the chorus.

Deaux appears in verse two, singing, “Night shifts, we went, overtime / Say come in, sit down / No slip, strip down / I’m excited just to play my role / I’ll cater to you, I’m in your control, I’m with it.”

The acoustic-driven “Awake” hears Weber expressing gratitude to her partner for always bringing calm during tough times. “You’re there when I awake / Right there when I find my way back / And through all the doubt and the pain / I know everything’s gon’ be okay,” she sings.

Paperflower is the follow-up to Weber’s 2021 debut album, A Beautiful Space. The album features Chance the Rapper, Westside Boogie, Sun Scott, and Nico Segal.
