Rising singer Grace Weber has returned with her new single “Lonely.”
Produced by Akeel Henry, “Lonely” offers affirming words about the joys of self-love and not relying on others to bring you happiness.
“I do not wait on nobody / So I can’t wait on your body / ‘Cause I don’t wait on nobody / Give me the pen I will write it / ‘Cause I know just how I like it,” Weber sings on the seductive tune that’s sweeter than caramel.
“‘Lonely’ is about being confident to love yourself. I think sometimes there can be a little fear, or timidness around loving yourself — or you feel like you don’t deserve it,” Weber tells Rated R&B. “I just wanted to write a song that went completely against that and made it fun to be sexy, confident, and independent.”
“Lonely” is the follow-up to Weber’s 2022 track “Insecure.” Both songs will appear on her upcoming project. “All the songs on my new project are love songs, different angles on love, and ‘Lonely’ is my self-love song,” Weber shares.
Weber’s forthcoming project will follow her debut album, A Beautiful Space. The album, released in February 2021, included features from Chance the Rapper, Westside Boogie and Nico Segal. Later that fall, Weber released A Beautiful (Deluxe), which included five new tracks.
