Marzz’s new single “Fake Love” details why they’re cool on an ex.
On the track, Marzz gives themself a pep talk about being okay to walk away from an un-nurturing partner, making it clear that “there will not be an us.”
Regarding the new single, Marzz shares, “It calls out the deception of a relationship. It also reflects a lot about knowing my worth and setting boundaries. It can be a little cocky, but it’s ok because it’s a wrap, and I’m cool with being myself.”
“Fake Love” was produced by LT-Moe. It’s Marzz’s third single release of the year, following “Switching Sides” and “In The Morning.”
The latter track, produced by Malik Ninety Five, launched Marzz’s return with new music.
“This song represents a feeling of waiting until the morning, getting excited of the unknown,” Marzz shared. “It’s the wishful understanding of everything within a relationship. Sometimes we need understanding about falling in love when we’re not sure.”
It is unclear whether the three songs are standalone tracks or part of a future project. According to press materials, fans should “stay tuned for more new music.”
Last year, Marzz released Love Letterz (Deluxe). The project was an extended version of their 2021 debut EP, Love Letterz.
Speaking to Rated R&B about the difference between the two releases, Marzz explained, “Love Letterz is more like other’s perspectives. Love Letterz (Deluxe) is more about how I feel about my personal experiences.”
Marzz added, “It’s me digging in my mind and dissecting what I feel. Right now, I’m focusing on determining what boundaries I want set.”
