Brent Faiyaz continues to collect accolades from the Recording Industry Association of America (RIAA).
His 2020 EP, F*ck The World, has been certified platinum for sales of more than one million equivalent units sold in the U.S.
It is the second project by Faiyaz to receive certification. His 2022 sophomore album, Wasteland, earned gold certification after four months and went platinum after a year.
It is worth noting that this new certification comes just a month after receiving the previous batch of RIAA awards. Faiyaz was awarded eight new RIAA certifications in September.
One of the certified releases was “Clouded,” which achieved 2x multi-platinum status and another one was “Fuck the World (Summer in London),” certified platinum. Both tracks appear on his F*ck The World EP.
In addition to the two mentioned songs above, there are other certified releases from his F*ck The World EP, which was released on Feb. 7, 2020, via his Lost Kids label.
The last of them is “Rehab (Winter in Paris),” which was released in September 2019 and achieved gold status for sales of 500,000 equivalent units in June 2021.
Faiyaz is currently on his F*ck The World, It’s A Wasteland Tour and has been performing sold-out concerts across the UK and Europe. The second leg of the tour will conclude on November 20.
He will be heading to Australia, New Zealand, and Asia for the third leg of the tour, which will start on January 9, 2024. Tickets for the upcoming shows are available now.
Faiyaz is touring to support Wasteland, his sophomore album that came out in July 2022. It included hit singles such as “All Mine” and “Wasting Time” featuring Drake and The Neptunes. The former song, certified platinum earlier this year, went No. 1 on urban radio.
Faiyaz is not only promoting his previous songs but also campaigning new tunes. In August, he enlisted Coco Jones on “Moment Of Your Life,” which debuted and peaked at No. 8 on Billboard’s Hot R&B Songs chart.
In September, Faiyaz celebrated his birthday with a new song titled “WY@.” As of this publishing, it is at No. 48 on urban radio this week.
