Victoria Monét is living out a dream. The singer-songwriter made her debut on The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon on Thursday (Oct. 19) and performed her hit song “On My Mama.”
Monét’s energetic performance, complete with a band and background dancers, brings 2000s nostalgia to life and is sure to boost listens for the track featuring a sample from Chalie Boy.
Monét’s late-night performance is comes on the heels of “On My Mama” reaching the top 10 at urban radio.
It’s Monét’s first top 10 entry on this airplay format, led by Young Nudy’s “Peaches & Eggplants.”

Also this week, “On My Mama” climbed to No. 9 on Billboard’s Mainstream R&B/Hip-Hop Airplay chart, marking her first top 10 placement.
Monét has engaged in promotional activities beyond late-night efforts for her debut album JAGUAR II.
Rated R&B covered her headlining tour, which began in D.C. in September. The tour will continue until Nov. 15, following its second show at Roundhouse in London.
Amid touring, Monét paid a visit to Vevo studios to perform “How Does It Make You Feel.”
Circling back to JAGUAR II, the album was released Aug. 25 via RCA Records. It is the second and final installment of her JAGUAR series.
Selling 15,000 equivalent units in the first week, JAGUAR II debuted at No. 6 on Billboard’s Top R&B Albums chart, marking Monét’s highest-charting project to date.
Rated R&B reviewed JAGAUR II, laying out that “the album was undoubtedly optimized to elevate the listening experience.”
