Chris Brown has teamed with rising dancehall artist Byron Messia for his new song “Nightmares.”
Brown co-produced the mellow, introspective groove with Chopstix.
“Nightmares” arrives with a Travis Colbert-directed video, filmed in Jamaica, which can be viewed below.
“Nightmares” is the third offering from Brown’s upcoming 11th album, 11:11, due Nov. 11.
It follows the previously shared singles “Summer Too Hot” and “Sensational” featuring Davido and Lojay. The former blazing single reached No. 1 at rhythmic radio in September.
11:11 will be released as a two-part album. Side A and Side B will contain 11 tracks each. In addition to the previously listed artists, 11:11 will feature Future, Fridayy and a couple of others who have not been revealed yet.
11:11 will follow Brown’s 2022 album, Breezy. The album debuted at No. 4 on the Billboard 200 and multiple tracks, including “Call Me Every Day” featuring WizKid, charted on the Hot 100 upon its release.
“Call Me Every Day” was certified gold by the Recording Industry Association of America (RIAA) for selling over 500,000 equivalent units.
Breezy (Deluxe) was nominated for Best R&B Album at the 65th Grammy Awards. It marked his first nomination in this category since winning at the 54th Grammys for 2011’s F.A.M.E.
