It’s been nearly 12 years since we last heard solo material from Grammy-winning singer Q Parker (formerly of 112). The R&B veteran makes his comeback with his brand new single, “Beg,” produced by Blac Elvis.
On the powerfully soulful jam, Q Parker leaves his woman at a loss for words as he showers her with gifts and love without expectations.
“Beg” is poised to climb the R&B radio chart and make a great addition to any playlist. It is perfect for helping individuals make amends with their special someone.
“We are in the BEGging season! Beg! Not because you did anything wrong, but just because you care, you love ’em, you value them, and do it every day,” Q Parker tells Rated R&B of the song’s inspiration.
“Beg” marks the launch of a new era for Q Parker, as it is his first solo song release since his debut album, The MANual, which was released in 2012. The 15-track project includes “Yes” and its lead single, “Show You How.”
Q Parker released music as WQRL, a group including himself, Wingo, and RL, in 2014, following The MANual.
In 2017, he reunited with his 112 bandmates to release the album Q Mike Slim Daron, which debuted at No. 14 on Billboard’s Top R&B Albums chart. The album’s single, “Dangerous Games,” peaked within the top 10 on the R&B charts.
In 2019, Q Parker signed with MNRK Nashville (formerly known as Entertainment One Nashville) with the plan to release a concept album titled The Bridge Project.
As part of his signing, Q Parker issued two collaborative singles, “Made For” and “I Need You,” featuring various artists from the gospel and R&B community.
Q Parker has released more collaborative music, including the most recent release, “Think of Me Too,” featuring vocal trio The Shindellas.
