Victoria Monét can now add ‘author’ to her impressive resumé.
The Grammy winner has announced her debut children’s book, Everywhere You Are. It releases June 24, 2025, via G.P. Putnam’s Sons Books for Young Readers, an imprint of Penguin Books.
Monét initially announced the book news through a statement to People. She mentioned that publishing a book was one of her aspirations. “This book means so much to me!,” shared Monét to People. “I love many types of writing from poetry to music, and eventually scripts and it has always been a special dream of mine to write children’s books.”
Everywhere You Are is a lyrical children’s book intended for ages 2-5. It features illustrations by Alea Marley, an English illustrator.
According to the book’s synopsis, Everywhere You Are depicts a gentle moon comforting a young star as night ends and they part ways.
“Paired with the whimsical and imaginative art of Alea Marley, Everywhere You Are reminds us that even when someone isn’t right next to us, their love still carries on in our hearts,” stated elsewhere in the book’s overview.

An additional rundown of the book, states, “Victoria Monét comes a lyrical picture book that’s perfect for children with separation anxiety, while also offering some healing for hard working parents.”
Sharing a Grammy nomination with her three-year-old daughter Hazel was just the beginning. Everywhere You Are is another beautiful way for Monét to connect with her little lady, solidifying their bond even further.
“Reading the drafts to Hazel gave me a sense of peace, knowing she can understand this sentiment and carry mommy with her wherever she goes,” Monét said.
Aside from the new book, Monét, featured on the 2024 TIME100 Next list, recently released Jaguar II (Deluxe), an extended version of her debut album, Jaguar II, released in August 2023.
Jaguar II (Deluxe) includes all 11 tracks from the standard edition of Jaguar II, plus 10 bonus tracks.
One of the new tracks is “SOS (Sex on Sight),” which features Usher and is produced by Camper. This steamy track is currently at No. 17 on Billboard’s Adult R&B Airplay chart.

“On My Mama,” Monét’s breakthrough single from Jaguar II, reached No. 1 on the chart and held the top spot for three weeks earlier this spring.
In a recent interview with Rated R&B, the song’s co-producer, Jeff “Gitty” Gitelman, discussed the making of “On My Mama” with Deputy.
“It was a nice competitive nature that day,” Gitelman remembered about the studio session of the Grammy-nominated single. “We were testing each other to see how great we could make one another. Iron sharpens iron. It was a great session. We knew it was special.”
Gitelman added, “It became a self-affirmation for all of us. I know it touched a lot of women, but just all of us, it was a self-affirmation.”
