Ciara is gearing up to share more new music for her devoted fans, C-Squad.
The Grammy-winning singer has announced her new single, “Ecstasy,” will release April 4 via her label Beauty Marks Entertainment.
Along with her announcement, CiCi has unveiled the official cover art for “Ecstasy.”
In it, she’s wearing a form-fitting cherry red outfit with matching shades while gracefully posed on her back, with one leg crossed over her knee and the other strategically covering her goodies.
During a live broadcast on Tyga’s Twitch channel, Ciara referenced “Ecstasy” as “the big sister” to her sensual hits “Promise” and “Ride.”
In Ciara’s February cover story with Bustle, writer Nolan Feeney, described “Ecstasy” as “a mood-setting, winking-face-with-tongue emoji of a song.” Ciara added, “There’s always a nice, classic, sensual CiCi record. My album is never complete if it doesn’t have that.”
“Ecstasy” will mark Ciara’s first song release of the year. In 2024, she released “Wassup” featuring Busta Rhymes and “Run It Up” featuring BossMan Dlow. Both songs were teased while she was on the Out of This World Tour with Missy Elliott and Busta Bust.
“‘Wassup’ is a fun flex record,” Ciara said. “It started with a play on words on what we would say when I came up in ATL. ‘What’s up, what’s happenin?’ It’s somewhat of a Y2K moment. I’m tapping into my ATL roots! It’s a song that’s meant for you to have the ultimate fun.”
As for “Run It Up,” Ciara noted, “‘Run It Up’ is about staying focused on the hustle and grind to achieve your dreams while remaining unbothered and blessed.”
Both songs came a year after Ciara released her CiCi EP in 2023. The mini project included her Chris Brown-assisted hit “How We Roll,” certified gold by the RIAA in November 2024, and the Lil Baby-featured “Forever.”
“Ecstasy” isn’t the only new Ciara song to anticipate. The “Better Thangs” singer also has a collaboration with Tyga, “Dance With Me,” which she asked him to hop on during the broadcast. A release date has not been set for it at this time.
