Rising singer-songwriter Raiche isn’t playing any games on her new song “Girls A Gun.”
The fierce track is loaded with straight-shooting lyrics aimed to fend off those who underestimate her and overstep boundaries.
“I’m done / I’m through with you / I got too much bigger things to do / You got me f****d up / Please read the room / I’m up to here / I’m through the roof,” Raiche chants on the dance-floor-ready groove.
“‘Girls A Gun’ is my empowerment anthem,” explains Raiche. “I wrote it when I was done with being pushed around. Sometimes, you just gotta speak up and let ‘em know what’s what.”

“Girls A Gun” is the follow-up to the mommy-to-be’s “Standards,” which dropped in late February. Both songs will appear on her upcoming EP, which is slated to arrive this spring via Genre Defying Entertainment/Island Prolific in partnership with Atlantic Records.
The upcoming project will follow Raiche’s Making Room EP, which was released in November 2024.
“The first part of this EP, Making Room, is about discovering myself and my view of love,” Raiche explained to Rated R&B. “After a tough breakup, I realized I’d been drawn to toxic relationships because I saw love through a toxic lens. Now, I understand love isn’t about extreme highs and lows—it’s about two people surrendering to each other.”
As indicated above, Raiche is expecting her first child with her partner, pop-soul singer Teddy Swims, who released his sophomore album, I’ve Tried Everything But Therapy (Part 2), in January. The album includes collaborations with Givēon, Muni Long, Coco Jones and GloRilla.
