After confronting a “LYIN” lover and pouring her emotions on “1-800 Heartbreak,” Zyah Belle turns her tears into sweat on her new track “About Time.”
The insistent dance groove, which features Ben Reilly, is playful and flirty, much like a blissful summer night. Lyrically, the song captures the instant chemistry between two people looking to explore each other more.
“‘About Time’ is the soundtrack to the moment you finally make your move,” Belle explains about the Madness-produced track.
“Picture this: you’re at a party, and there’s that person you always seem to run into. The tension is electric, the vibes are undeniable, but nothing’s ever happened… until now. Fueled by a little liquid courage and a lot of anticipation, this song is about breaking the ice and taking that chance.”

“About Time” is paired with a party-themed video directed by Reilly and co-starring R&B singer Lekan.
As indicated above, “About Time” follows “1-800 Heartbreak” and “LYIN.”
Regarding the former track, Belle shared, “This song is about leaning into the melodrama of heartbreak, letting yourself feel it all, and creating a soundtrack for the messy, vulnerable, and achingly honest moments.”
Belle is gearing up to release her new EP later this year via Third & Hayden Recordings. The forthcoming project will follow her 2022 debut album, Yam Grier.
