Craig David Unveils 'Commitment' Album Release Date, Tracklist

Grammy-nominated singer Craig David has announced his new album, Commitment, will release Aug. 8 via Believe UK.

David’s ninth album will include the previously shared singles “In Your Hands,” “SOS” and “Commitment” featuring Tiwa Savage.

The 12-track set will also feature collaborations with JoJo (“In It With You”) and Louisa Johnson (“Leave The Light On”).

David shared in a social media post, “This album has been an incredible journey & full of magical experiences from beginning to end. I can’t wait for you to hear it.”

Along with his album announcement, David has unveiled the latest single, “Wake Up.” On the garage-leaning track, produced by his frequent collaborator Mike Brainchild, David sounds the alarm on a romantic partner who is overlooking the love he’s offering her.

“You better wake up / To the fact that / You’re turning your back / On the best thing you ever had,” David sings on the bouncy track.

“Wake Up” arrives with an official visualizer, which can be watched below.

Circling back to Commitment, the album will follow 22, which was released in 2022. The latter album included the singles “DNA” featuring Galantis, “Who You Are” featuring MNEK and “G Love” featuring Nippa, among others.

22, later reissued with a deluxe edition, also featured collaborations with Muni Long (“Obvious”), Duvall (“My Heart’s Been Waiting for You,” Wretch 32 (“What More Could I Ask For?”), KYLE (“Already Know”), Carmen Reece (“Yes”), GRACEY (“Back to Basics”) and Isong (“21”).

Craig David launched his Commitment era with the empowering lead single, “In Your Hands,” released in September 2024.

He explained, “‘In Your Hands’ is such an important song for me, as I wanted to shine a light on how truly special we all are. Especially when we allow our inner child to play, that part of us that holds the true meaning and joy to life.”

In January, David returned with “SOS,” which he said “is all about that moment of feeling vulnerable, yet ready and open to taking a risk, a leap of faith to let someone know you are finally ready to let love in, however scary it may feel.”

Then, in late February, he joined forces with the Queen of Afrobeats, Tiwa Savage, for the title track.

Earlier this month, David joined Usher on stage at his Past Present Future Tour stop at London’s O2 Arena, where he performed his Grammy-nominated hit “7 Days.”

“Feeling truly blessed to share the stage with the legend @usher,” David wrote in an Instagram post. “This is a real full-circle moment for me. Growing up, I had ‘I Think of You’ and ‘U Make Me Wanna’ on repeat. He’s always been an artist I deeply respect and one of the greatest to ever do it. Thank you for this incredible moment.”
