Ciara‘s new single “Ecstasy” has debuted on multiple Billboard charts.
The alluring bedroom jam opens at No. 3 on the R&B Digital Song Sales chart dated April 19. It marks Ciara’s 11th top 10 hit on this chart out of 20 entries.
Her last visit was in 2023 with her Chris Brown-assisted hit “How We Roll,” which reached No. 1, and “Forever” featuring Lil Baby, which maxed out at No. 10.

Elsewhere on Billboard, “Ecstasy” bows at No. 11 on the R&B/Hip-Hop Digital Song Sales chart. She now has 18 entries on this chart, six of which are top 10 hits.

“Ecstasy” will appear on Ciara’s forthcoming album, CiCi, which is an extended version of her 2023 EP. The album is set to release July 11 via her independent label Beauty Marks Entertainment.
“On every album, having the ultimate slow R&B record is always a must for me!” Ciara said about “Ecstasy.” She added, “We call it baby-making music where I’m from! I can’t wait for the world to see the video and experience ‘Ecstasy’ with me! The CiCi Way!”
In a 2023 interview with Rated R&B, Ciara exclusively confirmed that her next album would be a continuation of her CiCi EP.
“I wanted to curate and set the tone of my next music chapter with this EP,” Ciara told Rated R&B. “This project is the start of really exciting things to come.”
CiCi will follow Ciara’s 2019 album, Beauty Marks, which was her first independent project release. The latter album included her hit single “Level Up,” which was certified 2x platinum by the RIAA for selling over two million equivalent units in the U.S.
“Ecstasy,” co-written by Ciara, Courtlin Jabrae and Theron Thomas, was released April 4 along with its Diane Martel-directed video. The video, which has already surpassed one million views on YouTube, has inspired the viral Defying Gravity Challenge.
The challenge involves a balancing act on a chair, as Ciara does in the video — even television host Sherri Sherpherd tried it out live on the SHERRI show.

In other news, Ciara joined rapper Megan Thee Stallion during her Coachella set last Sunday (April 13) to perform her No. 1 hit “Goodies,” which was sampled in Meg’s “Roc Steady” from MEGAN: Act II.
“I’m so proud of you @theestallion! What a special night! Thank you so much for having me #RealHotGirlSh*t,” Ciara wrote on the platform known as X.
