Kenyon Dixon has found a collaborator in PJ Morton. After working together earlier this year to honor soul great Sam Cooke, the R&B gents join forces again to “Escape” on their new duet.
This optimistic track is supported by a relaxed instrumental and lived-in lyrics offering plenty of substance. Dixon and Morton each discuss how fatigued they are regarding the countless headlines and posts of terrible news. Even so, they sing with a sense of hopefulness, lying in wait for the nearing silver lining.
Morton, whose music (“Don’t Let Go”) is featured in Kevin Hart’s Fatherhood, recently co-penned Snoh Aalegra’s newest single “Lost You” from her upcoming album Temporary Highs in the Violet Skies.

As for Dixon, he has been featured on songs this year by Jamal Moore (“Paradise”) and Jake&Papa (“Higher”). His last solo song, “Expectations,” featuring Alex Isley, was released in December 2020.
Later this year, Dixon is joining Ledisi for The Wild Card U.S. Tour.
