Beyoncé’s latest album Renaissance continues to be showered with accolades.
The Recording Industry Association of America (RIAA) has presented Beyoncé with a platinum certification. It has sold more than one million equivalent units.
It’s her seventh album (eighth project overall) to be awarded by the organization.

Renaissance is Beyoncé’s longest stretch to the platinum mark, taking 124 days to accomplish.
Beyoncé’s Grammy-winning third album, I Am… Sasha Fierce, which was released Nov. 18, 2008, gained its platinum wings the quickest; 22 days to be exact.
Renaissance was released July 29 via Parkwood Entertainment/Columbia Records. It was preceded by “Break My Soul,” a house-inspired track she co-wrote and co-produced with The-Dream and Tricky Stewart. The award-winning hit single was newly certified platinum.
“Creating this album allowed me a place to dream and to find escape during a scary time for the world,” said Beyoncé.
“It allowed me to feel free and adventurous in a time when little else was moving. My intention was to create a safe place, a place without judgment. A place to be free of perfectionism and overthinking. A place to scream, release, feel freedom. It was a beautiful journey of exploration.”
According to Luminate, Renaissance sold 332,000 in the first week, making it the biggest debut by a woman this year before Taylor Swift’s Midnights. Renaissance was also the first new album by a woman to debut atop the Billboard 200.
“I’m thankful that it was received and understood. Thank you to my beautiful team for your heart and grind,” Beyoncé wrote in a letter. “Thank you to all of the brilliant collaborators and musicians, composers and everyone involved in creating this piece of art. And thank you to the absolute best fans on the planet. I’m grateful to be loved by you.”
At the 2022 Soul Train Awards, Renaissance won Album of the Year. Beyoncé also won Best Collaboration (“Make Me Say It Again, Girl”) and Song of the Year (“Break My Soul”).

Beyoncé is the most-nominated artist at the 2023 Grammy Awards with nine nods, including Album of the Year (Renaissance), Record of the Year (“Break My Soul”) and Song of the Year (“Break My Soul”). She also landed two nods in the dance/electronic categories, her first time as a contender in this field.
She ties with her husband Jay-Z as the most-nominated artist in Grammy history, with 88 each.
In other Renaissance-related news, “Cuff It,” the album’s current single, topped the following radio charts: R&B, urban and rhythmic.
