Fresh from receiving seven Grammy nominations, Victoria Monét has another reason to celebrate as “On My Mama” reaches No. 1 on urban radio.
This marks Monét’s first time topping any radio format, including this one. It rose from No. 4 to No. 1 to achieve this feat.
Previously, “On My Mama” became Monét’s first top 10 hit on urban radio in mid-October, climbing from No. 17 to No. 10. The song samples Texas rapper Chalie Boy’s 2009 hit “I Look Good.”

“On My Mama” continues to gain momentum on other formats, including rhythmic and R&B radio, maintaining top 20 positions.
Radio aside, “On My Mama” has achieved new peak positions on multiple charts, according to Billboard. These updates reflect the week dated Nov. 11.

Moreover, “On My Mama” is currently maintaining on the Billboard Hot 100 chart. It peaked at No. 58 during the week of Nov. 7.
As of now, it stands at No. 71, mainly due to Taylor Swift’s massive takeover with songs from her album 1989 (Taylor’s Version).
Monét released “On My Mama” as the third offering from JAGUAR II on June 16 via RCA Records. D’Mile, Deputy and Jeff “Gitty” Gitelman co-produced the fan favorite.
Since our last report, “On My Mama” has surpassed 36 million streams on Spotify, representing a nearly 39% increase in streams.
As noted above, JAGUAR II is the home of “On My Mama,” which just received two 2024 Grammy nominations, including Record of the Year and Best R&B Song.
Monét received five additional nominations, including Best New Artist. Her debut album, JAGUAR II, was also nominated for Best R&B Album.
JAGUAR II was released Aug. 25 via RCA Records. Rated R&B praised the set, and it performed well on the charts.
Monét has more than just Grammy nominations to celebrate. She has been nominated for six 2023 Soul Train Awards for music from JAGUAR II. The BET and BET Her ceremony airs on Sunday, Nov. 26 at 8 p.m. ET.
