Tinashe Unveils Tracklist for New Album 'Quantum Baby'

Tinashe has shared the official tracklist for her new album, Quantum Baby.

The project, out Aug. 16 via Nice Life Recording Company, consists of eight tracks, including the viral hit “Nasty” and “Getting No Sleep.”

She teamed with Chlöe and Tyga for two respective remixes of the former track, though it appears that the “Nasty Girl Remix” and “Nasty XXX Remix” won’t be on the album.

Regarding “Nasty,” which has surpassed 100 million Spotify streams, Tinashe explained, “This is that all summer long kinda BOP! It’s meant to make you feel sexy, confident, let loose and maybe even unleash some of that sluttiness inside you. We all need a daily reminder that we are our own muses, here’s the inspiration to embrace it.”

Speaking on her forthcoming album, Tinashe noted, “Quantum Baby is about getting to know me on a deeper level. It’s about exploring who I am as a person and who I am as an artist.”

She added, “I’ve never been one to be put into a box, so the name Quantum Baby encompasses all the different parts that make up who I am as a creative.”

Quantum Baby is the second installment of Tinashe’s trilogy series, following BB/ANG3L.

The latter project was released in 2023 and featured singles such as “Needs” and “Talk To Me Nice.”

“For BB/ANG3L, I was very inspired by the concept of identity. Exploring both how I self-identify and also challenging the perceptions of others,” explained Tinashe.

She continued, “I believe how we identify in this world is ultimately our own personal choice; and I’ve enjoyed stripping back layers of aesthetic fluff, smoke & mirrors, and white noise to get down to the core of myself. Who we are at a core level, when we are alone – raw & unfiltered, is what I want this album to reflect.”

In other news, Tinashe appears on Kaytranada‘s new album, Timeless, on “More Than A Little Bit.”
