Muni Long has unveiled the official tracklist for her new album Revenge, which releases Aug. 30 via Def Jam Recordings.
Revenge consists of 14 tracks, including the previously shared “Made For Me,” “Make Me Forget,” and “Ruined Me.“
The album includes a feature from fast-rising rapper GloRilla, who appears on “Leave My Baby Tonight.”
In terms of singles, both “Made For Me” and “Make Me Forget” reached No. 1 on R&B radio. Both songs also climbed to the top of at least one Billboard chart.
Recently, “Make Me Forget,” which samples D’Angelo, became Long’s first song to reach the top of the Adult R&B Airplay chart.
“Made For Me,” which later received a Mariah Carey-assisted remix, went to No. 1 on the following Billboard charts: R&B Digital Song Sales, Mainstream R&B/Hip-Hop Airplay, and R&B/Hip-Hop Airplay. The platinum single also peaked at No. 20 on the Billboard Hot 100.
Elsewhere on the radio, “Made for Me,” a fan-driven single, topped Mediabase’s urban and rhythmic charts.
Revenge follows Long’s 2022 project, Public Displays of Affection: The Album, which includes her Grammy-winning hit “Hrs and Hrs.”
“The record is definitely my story. I’m focusing on my journey, elevating, and growing as an artist. It’s so much deeper than simply writing songs. It’s therapeutic for me to get all my thoughts out,” Long said of Revenge.
“I’ve been working towards this moment for 17 years. I’m stronger than I’ve ever been. I’m focused on healing and leaving a brightness wherever I go. From my perspective, I think I did a really great job of expressing how I feel in the music. It’s like one big diary entry.”
Revenge is available for pre-order and pre-add on Apple Music and Spotify. The album can also be purchased on CD, including standard and signed copies, as well as on vinyl on the official Def Jam Recordings website.
Long is currently preparing for her performance at Amazon Music’s City Sessions in Los Angeles. It will be available for streaming on Aug. 22 at 6 p.m. EST on Prime and Twitch.
