Jorja Smith Nails Cover of ‘Killing Me Softly’ on ‘Like A Version’

Jorja Smith‘s voice is just magnificent. The Grammy-nominated singer took her distinctive, sultry sound to triple j’s studio for an episode of Like A Version.

For the two-song segment, Smith sang a mesmerizing rendition of “Killing Me Softly,” originally performed by Roberta Flack and later reimagined by The Fugees. Behind a flower dazzled mic stand, Smith brings her own version to existence with gentle notes and killer drumming.

Next, she dives into her own music. The British songster delights with a stunning performance of the somber tale “The One” from her debut album Lost & Found. Her raw and raspy tone shine here as she sways her body from side to side.

In other news, Smith is going on a month-long tour with her bestie Kali Uchis. The first concert kicks off on April 28 at The Anthem in Washington, D.C. Smith will also play at the 2019 Governors Ball in New York City.

Check out Smith’s spellbinding performances below.
