Toni Braxton isn’t dwelling on unrequited love any longer.
After releasing her upbeat heartbreak anthem “Dance” last week, the living legend returns with an accompanying visual.
Braxton is a beam of light in the Mike Ho-directed video, as she uses rhythmic body movements to relieve any stress she may have felt after learning her man was cheating. “I don’t really care, I just wanna dance the love away,” Braxton sings with a troupe of dancers behind her.
“The one thing I think we all need sometimes is Dance because we’re #TakingOutNegativeInfluence,” wrote on Instagram earlier this week.
“Dance” is the follow-up to Braxton’s tender ballad “Do It.” The song, which has a remix featuring Missy Elliott, became the Maryland native’s highest radio debut on the urban adult contemporary format.
Both tracks will appear on her upcoming tenth studio album, Spell My Name, which is out August 28 via Island Records. The album comes after Braxton’s 2018 LP, Sex & Cigarettes, which featured her hit single “Long As I Live.”
