Fresh off the pop radio success of his track “Better,” Khalid has revealed details about his sophomore album. Set to arrive on April 5 via RCA Records, Free Spirit will follow his 2018 Suncity EP.
The LP marks his first full-length album since his Grammy-nominated debut American Teen, which dropped in March 2017.
Khalid will also release a companion film of the same title. The one-night premiere will take place in theaters worldwide on Wednesday, April 3. Fans can check out the film’s official website for upcoming ticket information and other exclusive updates.
“Talk,” the new album’s lead single, has reached No. 2 on the Billboard Hot R&B Songs chart after debuting last week.
With his single “Better” controlling the top Hot R&B Songs spot and “Talk” next in line, Khalid became the third artist besides Drake and The Weeknd to command the No. 1 and No. 2 spots at the same time.
