Ella Mai has another certified gold single to her credit.
“She Don’t” featuring Ty Dolla $ign, her debut single lifted from her 2016 EP Time, has sold over 500,000 copies, according to the Recording Industry Association of America (RIAA).
This golden certification adds to Mai’s batch of EP singles to attain a gold or multi-platinum badge of honor by the RIAA.
In June, her Grammy-winning hit “Boo’d Up” went five-times platinum after becoming a gold member a year prior. The song “10,000 Hours,” off her second 2016 EP, Change, hit gold status in April.
Mai’s self-titled debut album has also spawned a two-time platinum hit (“Trip“) and a gold single (“Shot Clock“). After more than a year, the latter track is still dominating the top 10 on urban adult contemporary radio.
Mai, who appears on Mahalia’s Love and Compromise album, is currently on the European leg of Ariana Grande’s Sweetener Tour. She recently announced Australia and New Zealand dates for her Debut Tour. The abroad trek will begin on December 28 and run until January 7, 2020. Tickets are available now.
