The clock is ticking for the arrival of Ledisi’s new album The Wild Card. With its leadoff single “Anything For You” knocking at the front door of the top 10 on the Billboard Adult R&B Airplay chart, she calls on fellow New Orleanian PJ Morton for the ultimate duet.
Ledisi opens the tune, keeping her soulful serenade of lyricism intact. Morton comes in on the second verse to render his appreciation for the special woman that’s been designed uniquely for him.
The Wild Card is slated to arrive on August 28 via Listen Back Entertainment / BMG. While the album’s first single is already a standout, the assertive follow-up “Where I Am” is another solid reason why this album is a must-have this summer.
Giving Morton the mic, he recently issued a Nipsey Hussle-inspired music video for his PAUL single “Buy Back The Block.” It followed “I Can’t Wait,” a sappy love song about closer proximity between lovers.
