The year 2020 has been a platinum one for 6LACK. After receiving platinum certifications for two singles (“Imported” with Jessie Reyez, “Pretty Little Fears”) earlier this year, the Atlanta-based artist has earned a platinum plaque from the Recording Industry Association of America (RIAA) for his debut album, FREE 6LACK.
Released through LVRN/Interscope Records in November 2016, the Grammy-nominated album was certified gold nearly two years later. It featured the singles “Ex Calling” and “Prblms.”
In June, 6LACK celebrated his 28th birthday with the release of a new EP titled 6pc Hot. The finger-licking project included the previously-shared tracks “ATL Freestyle” and “Float.”
It also featured the highlights “Elephant in the Room” and the saxophone killer “Long Nights.”
In performance news, 6LACK has partnered with YouTube Music for a special live stream event that he calls Live From the Ledge. It takes place this Friday, August 28, at 7:30 p.m. ET. Click here to set a reminder.
