After kicking off 2020 with Audacity, Vol. 1, singer-songwriter Kevin Ross follows up with his new EP, Audacity, Vol. 2.
The seven-track offering includes Ross’ previously released songs “God is a Genius,” “I Do / Options,” and “Everybody Here Wants You” with Canjelae.
“I’m excited to share another installment of the Audacity Series,” Ross tells Rated R&B via email. “Audacity is like a spectrum. I feel like, with Vol. 1, I experimented a lot with going left and right of center within the genre. Vol. 2 is much closer to the center.”
He adds, “Vol. 2 is coming out just weeks before my 1st year anniversary of launching my company, Art Society Music Group.”
Audacity was originally a full-length album; however, Ross decided to release the project in two parts. “I think the beauty of what other R&B artists like H.E.R. and Lucky Daye have shown us in the past year or two is that portion control is very important,” Ross told Rated R&B in January. “It seems like people are consuming music in smaller dosages. People get to decide what their favorite song is without being overwhelmed.”
Besides his new music, Ross also has launched a new virtual live talk show called The Mash|Up Show. It airs every Monday via Facebook Live.
