Years after cranking out classic after classic, Mariah Carey and Busta Rhymes have reunited for new banger titled “Where I Belong.” It appears on his newest project Extinction Level Event 2: The Wrath of God.
The Rick Rock and Navi Beats-produced track pays homage to their 2002 worldwide smash “I Know What You Want.” What makes this song about rekindling an old romance even more epic is that Carey’s prized voice sounds as stylish and sexy as it did on their previous hit. Like their certified gold single, Carey hits her signature whistle that Rhymes loves so much.
The year 2020 has been a nostalgic one for Carey. From releasing a number of vaulted remixes from different album eras (Rainbow, Music Box) to a full-length album of Rarities to a New York Times bestselling book (The Meaning of Mariah Carey) of once-unshared memories, Carey has granted the many wishes of her devoted Lambily. And she isn’t done.
The global icon partnered with Apple to produce Mariah Carey’s Magical Christmas Special. It will be a festive event filled with music, dancing, and animation. It also will feature some special guests, which some have already hinted will be Ariana Grande and Jennifer Hudson.
