At the 2020 Billboard Women in Music on December 10, Chloe x Halle and Jessie Reyez will be honored for their respective breakout years. The Grammy-nominated sister duo, who recently went gold for “Do It,” will be given the Rising Star Award presented by Honda. Chloe x Halle released their sophomore album, Ungodly Hour, in June, and it was featured in Rated R&B’s 16 best R&B albums of 2020 so far.
Reyez, whose new album Before Love Came to Kill Us arrived in March, will receive the American Express Impact Award for her ongoing social activism surrounding racism and other global social injustices. Her debut album also made Rated R&B’s shortlist of best R&B albums of 2020 so far in July.
Other Women in Music honorees include Dolly Parton ( Hitmaker Award), Cardi B (Woman of the Year), Jennifer Lopez (Icon Award), Dua Lipa (Powerhouse Award), and Brianna Agyemang and Jamila Thomas (Executive of the Year Award).
Hosted by Teyana Taylor, the 15th annual Billboard Women in Music event will be streamed live on December 10 at 8 p.m. ET.
