Kiana Ledé is helping the world get into the holiday spirit. The Republic Records signee has teamed up with Amazon Music to share an exclusive rendition of Nat King Cole’s “The Christmas Song.”
Instead of taking the traditional route for the seasonal favorite, the updated version is in style with today’s contemporary R&B and hip-hop ethos. Ledé’s alluring voice is warm as a cup of cocoa on a winter afternoon and makes good use of the trendy production that strikes a resemblance to song arrangements from her debut album KIKI.
Ledé will play her rendition of “The Christmas Song” at the latest concert episode of Amazon Music Holiday Plays. She is also scheduled to sing a medley of songs from her first album, including her certified platinum single “Ex.” Catch the performance tonight at 8 p.m. EST here.
This fall, Ledé released a deluxe edition of KIKI. It featured seven new tracks.
Ledé has been in her collaboration bag lately. Her duet partners include Usher (“This Day”) and Leon Bridges (“Better”).
