It’s Homegrown season, and VanJess is serving us an overload of stunning looks in their official video for “Caught Up” featuring Phony Ppl.
The visual is a step back into the ‘70s, from their sexy and sleek fashion style to the groovy penthouse setup that is housing the R&B sister duo.
Phony Ppl’s frontman Elbee Thrie is seen in a solo shot, hanging out in a plain of dry, faded grass. VanJess later joined the hipster to poise for the camera.
“Caught Up” is one of the many standouts from the pair’s current EP, Homegrown, which is out now. VanJess recently chatted with Rated R&B about their latest release, as well as embracing their Nigerian heritage and what they hope fans take away from the fresh new sounds.
“We’re all going through things right now, but you know, at least we have music to just kind of take us away from all this and just get some good energy,” Ivana told Rated R&B. “We hope that everyone can feel good listening to it just as much as we felt good creating it.”
Homegrown is the first collection of music from VanJess since 2018’s Silk Canvas. Early tracks from the new project include “Come Over,” “Curious” and “Slow Down.”
