Tiana Major9 is showing her R&B counterparts how to get the most out of a project.
After releasing the original and acoustic version of last year’s At Sixes and Sevens, the British soul siren is readying a remix edition.
Major9 is set to debut the collection of reimagined songs on April 2, with a SiR-assisted duet as the first offering from the coming long-player.
Like the first draft of the fan-favorite, Major9 dwells on her yearns for proximity despite the misgivings of a rocky relationship that continues to present itself. Even though the Top Dawg signee is stuck in the middle, wrestling with letting go and holding on to his special someone, he reminds himself that their love “reigns supreme.”
Major9 has yet to share the full tracklisting or additional guest spots for At Sixes and Sevens Remixed. We do know that she is anxious to release more “[new] music, new visuals and hopefully tour once they open outside up again.”
Earlier this month, while promoting her Grammy-nominated song “Collide,” Major9 chatted with Rated R&B about many topics, including joining Lucky Daye for his song “On Read.”
“We got in the studio one spontaneous night and created a great song that happened to fit the vibe of his project,” she told Rated R&B. “I’m a huge fan of his, so it means the world that he would put me on his EP with other amazing women in music.”
She also dished on her love for Sade, biggest change since superstardom, and more. Revisit the conversation here.
In case you didn’t know, Major9’s At Sixes and Sevens placed at No. 7 on Rated R&B’s 30 best R&B albums of 2020 list. She also was crowned as one of Rated R&B’s 11 R&B Artists to Watch in 2021.
